Several defects of welding:

 

1.External undercut

 

Welding process parameter selection is not correct or the operation is not standard, welding along the base metal parts of the formation of the groove or depression, known as biting edge. 2.Stomata

During welding, the gas in the molten pool fails to escape when it solidifies and remains in the weld to form a cavity, which is called a porosity. (At the beginning of welding, due to the inability to grasp the welding rhythm and the unskilled handling of the strips, it will cause pauses. If it is deeper and shallower, it will easily cause pores. Calligraphy and writing are the same, one stroke at a time.)

3.Not penetrated, not fused

 

There are many reasons for incomplete penetration and infusion, such as too small weld gap or groove angle, too thick blunt edge, too large electrode diameter, too fast welding speed or too long arc, etc. It is also possible that the welding effect may be affected by impurities in the groove, and unmelted impurities may also affect the fusion effect of the weld.

 

(Only control the welding speed, current and other process parameters during welding, correctly select the groove size, and remove the scale and impurities on the surface of the groove; the root of the back cover welding must be thoroughly cleaned.)

Defects such as lapping and serpentine bead are all caused by too slow welding speed and too low welding current. (The way to prevent it is to practice more and grasp the appropriate welding speed. Most people will do this at the beginning, practice more.)
